The founding trustees moved to Bhiwadi (an industrial town in Rajasthan) in 2009 to be closer to their business. During a visit to a local market, they noticed a little kid rummaging through trash cans and collecting plastic bottles. Upon enquiring, they learnt he was a migrant kid and was doing it to support his family. Overcome with compassion and with a desire to help, they started calling these kids home and offering them a daily glass of milk. Fast forward 10 years, and a story that began with 5 kids and a glass of milk, has now grown to 300 kids who are provided a daily nutritious midday meal. Their work has earned them recognition in the local community and has allowed them to build a network of volunteers who actively support the trust in its various projects. Projects undertaken by R C Chauhan Charitable Trust extend beyond the child and include families in spheres ranging from Health, Education, Livelihood et al. They live by the tenet, ‘If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day and if you teach him how to fish – you can feed him for a lifetime.’ We welcome you all to come and join our ever-growing family and discover the ‘Joy of Unconditional Giving’.
